Luma is not medical advice

Luma is a personal journaling tool. It helps you record how you feel and notice patterns over time. It is not a medical device or a medical service, and nothing in the app is medical advice. Luma cannot diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.

  • Always talk to a qualified health professional - such as your GP - about symptoms, medications, or anything concerning you.
  • Never delay, change, or stop treatment because of something you saw in Luma.
  • Luma is a companion to professional care, never a replacement for it.

About AI-generated insights

When AI insights are enabled, Luma uses artificial intelligence to summarise your entries and suggest possible patterns. Please keep in mind:

  • AI can be wrong. Insights may be incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading, even when they sound confident.
  • Patterns aren't causes. If Luma notices that two things tend to happen together, that doesn't mean one causes the other.
  • Verify what matters. If an insight would change what you do about your health, check it with a health professional first.

Your data, your judgement

Luma's charts, streaks, and summaries are only as good as what's recorded, and journalling naturally has gaps. Treat everything in Luma as a starting point for conversations with the people who look after your health - not as answers.
